wintering without coolant??
hey all
i just bought a new rad, i've removed the old one, and drained all the coolant out of rad+ engine. theres a couple things i want to take care of (rust removal, paint ect) before i put the new rad in. my question is, are there going to be any adverse effects to letting it sit without coolant, such as rusting, or drying out of seals? or should i just kink the bottom hose and refill the motor with coolant and leave it like that?
thanks
steve

whatever you do, don't fill it with water alone! That may sound stupid to actually mention, but I know someone who actually did that in the winter!! How dumb is that?!
