Windshield trim: How do you get it off???

I'm about to take the plung and get the beast painted. I want to take all the trim off because I don't want to pay the painter to do it or trust the painter to do a good job of it. If anyone has done this or can point me to a link, thanx.

You need a special little flat metal tool that slides under the trim and hooks the clip that holds the trim in place. You can usually get them at an automotive paint store. Don't try to remove the trim without the proper tool or the trim and/or clips may be damaged.

I popped them off with some careful screwdriver-ing. I wouldn't recommend you do it with a screwdriver, though, unless you've done stuff like that before.

If I were to ask for this special little flat metal tool at the parts store, what would I ask for or do you think they would understand what I need? Thanx
