window sticker
As it says, Mazda won the IMSA GTU Manufacturers Championship with the RX-7 from 1980 thru 1987.
Those were updated every year, and affixed to the window on all cars. Many people scraped them off, while others were proud to display the racing legacy of their car.

And some guy on this board said he was going to do a limited reproduction run of those IMSA/GTU stickers and never did despite getting quite a bit of material from a lot of different members here in this Forum...
...I still got my money waiting on this sticker. Attempts in the old junkyard to peel/slice/scrape these stickers off the glass like registration tags just destroys them and I really have no intention of replacing that whole quarter window just to get that sticker on the car...

i had this same question almost 4 years ago. you'll find a lot of answers in the thread i started. here's the link: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...light=imsa+gtu
It was alien rx7....he let the thread die apparently because his sources never got any file good enough to do the sticker or maybe they weren't as interested in doing it as he was led to believe...here's what ray green contributed...

I'll pull it tonight and rework it on Adobe to get the resolution the alien wants, clean up the edges for a real circle and get rid of the car domain intrusion....we'll see what happens next....maybe a full court PM blitz on alien?

That's a nice looking sticker you got there Mar3...Oh yeh it's mine! I can email you a tiff file with better resolution and missing the cardomain logo, if you like. I might even be able to get a better photo if I can get the light just right.
On getting out the rear quarter window, I don't think it is that easy, ie not just a couple of bolts. It's glued in just like the windshield and you have to saw it out using a piano wire. Even the pros say this is a tricky laborious procedure that only works about half the time, as often as not the glass cracks.
I'm attempting to do this now in preparation for taking out a windshield for reuse and I've already put a chip in my practice window, a right rear quarter window. I want to try out a few other techniques but so far I have concluded it's a labor intensive and delicate bitch.
But if I get it to work and I get my windshield out successfully, I do have the left side rear quarter window and it does have the sticker on it (the one pictured above, I do believe) so if anyone is really determined to get an original sticker, pop me a message.
Here's the photos of the stickers on my other cars:

Ughhh, I want one so bad too. I have all original (almost mint) 83 GSL and the one of the 2 previous owners got the car tinted and there is no more sticker there. I love that sticker.
Somebody get to it and make these if you know how to

I wonder if there is a kind of tool made or that could be improvised that would allow you to continuously heat a small nail or something similar so that you could use the hot nail to work your way around the entire windshield? Maybe a modified soldering iron or something like that.
I'll probably be out there guitar stringing my windshield and the rear quarter windows this weekend if it's warm, I hear it goes better on hot days. Time to get rid of the brown carcasse. Suggestions welcome!
