window squirters not working (searched)

I cant seem to find why my windsheild squirters wont work. I tested the motor by giving it 12v power, and it runs. The plug that hooks up to the motor i tested with a test light. When i do that, one lights up, and the other makes the wipers move, only of course when the control stick on the steering colomn is pulled back. I also tested voltage at the plug leads, which were 11.5, and 12.5. The lines are clear, so thats not it, and when i plug the motor into the connector and pull the toggle thing, it wont spin. resistance at the plug is around .11ohms i believe. Also, when i plug in the motor and test the plug with a test light both leads light up the bulb. BTW this is on my 85 FB 12A, can anyone help? Thank you very much.

have you checked the jets themselves? sometimes they get all blocked up with crap (wax, dirt, etc.) and you need to get in there with a pin or something to unclog it.

yep i pulled the line off of the tank and blew through it, and it flowed air all the way through so the lines are clear.

Might be the windshield washer pump.

Check the pump and make sure you dont have any leaks. I found a small leak in mine.

the pump is good. I said in the first post that i tested it and it runs just fine. also, there are no leaks. when i plug the pump in and try it when its removed from the tank it wont turn, but if i give it 12v power it will run.

Take a look at the FSM herehttp://www.wankel.net/~krwright/cars/rx7/manuals.html it should have a procedure to properly test the combination switch with a ohmeter, becuase I suspect that's your problem. Mine went on me too and I was able to dismantle and repair the switch. There's a very week little plastic tab the stock pushes on the close the contacts for the washer switch. It was broken on my car and I was able to glue in another peice of plastic to replace it. That worked for a few months. I'll be pulling it out and fixing it again soon so stay tooned.

The car I recently sold had a leak in the line under the vent panel in front of the wind shield.
