Will tranny fit?

I still have my 12a tranny from my 1984 Gsl, I am getting a s5 n/a streetported motor. Will my tranny bolt up to this engine or will I have to buy a later year tranny?

It sucks I miss the old days where I used to be able to bug mom and dad to get some cash. At least this way, when I am finished my car, I will have the satisfaction that I paid for it all myself. They have a lot of rich kids on the eastbank that get their moms and dads to spend over 7 grand on their kids cars. I don't care. Mine was done right and I paid for everything. I know what my car is going to be capable of and they don't. I just hate kids like that. Sorry once I get started its hard for me to start.

Clutch is even the same, so you saved some more. When you do go to a 2nd gen tranny, look for the shifter mod for the TII tranny install in a 1st gen, works the same way for the NA trannys.

UHHH what are you tryin to tell him here. Depending on the kind of steetport, the tranny should hold up. Thats as long as you don't have a racing clutch and dump it at 8K rpm.
