Will these FD rotorhousings fit my 12A motor ???

Well I got these housings for cheap, no chromeflaking, perfectly straight and no crack at the sparkplugs.
I want to use them for my 12A blowthrough set-up, will it work, help a noob out

13b engine rotor housings 80mm wide
12a engine rotor housings 70mm wide
12a rotors 70mm wide
quick answer no
BUT
A guy here machines 12a irons
he makes the oring groove on them so you can use 13b housings.

Are you sure?
Just ******' with you guys.

Had some fun with the Bridgeport CNC mill today

Ha ha I thought the o-ring grooves was a dead give-away.
I'll go sit in my corner now

Yo Those Are Not "fd" Housings. Bro- Those Are 84-85 13b Housings Patna And You Cant Make Them Fit On A 12a Because The Only Thing U Can Use From A 12a For This Is The Plates Only. Other Than That Its Still A 13b
XD wait so you decided to machine the 13B housing down to 12A specs so you can have replacement housings?
Okay then I am gonna start laughing with amusement and be watching you to see how your crazy plan works out! ^.^ Brilliant! pure evil genius material here!

i'll be watching for updates on this, too. i'm particularly interested in apex seal life (exhaust port support makes me uneasy).
good luck with it though.
EDIT: actually, i take that back. i guess i've probably done some of my streetport 12A exhaust that wide ...
i still want to see updates when you put it together.

Ha, I knew this would stir things up a bit.
Primary reason is: I had a hard time finding 12A housings that had no chrome flakeing, I am cheap like noone else, new 12A housings are wicked expensive overhere.
Secondary: Hey I saved an otherless scrap FD housing from the junkyard, these housings had some chromeflaking to begin with, but it does'nt matter since that part was ground away anyways.
I will update this thread when possible, got most parts right now to finish the build, but i'm also helping a friend out, building an endwall for his shop.
Have patience, grasshoppers

I had heard the 12A housings were becoming more difficult to find in good condition. Would this be worth pursuing for anyone without access to sweet sweet machinery ? Or is only a good deal for you, you lucky lucky bastard
Since when do FD engines have the water seal grooves in the rotor housings?
They look like 70's or GSL-SE rotor housings to me..........
Never mind......my fault for not reading the whole thing!

Cam at Pettit racing used to do this for race cars that required 12As. The exhaust ports are also much wider unported than 12A ports, like a freebie port, and I think the spark plug timing might be different.
Well, I could, I have all the parts for it, even a set of MFR P-port housings, so fun is just laying around my shop waiting to be plugged into a car

The thing is that when I've set my mind on something, It usually gets done sooner or later, usually later ha ha. Some time ago I saw a 12A blowthrough that Robert RotaryShack made, I'll admit that it tickled my interest to try the whole turbo thing.
I've allways been an N/A guy since my 86' GXL, homemade peripheral port 13B racecar[another thing I just had to try out, got two mfr housings that i copied timing off) to my S4 6-port FB.
Then one day I saw the light when I tried OC94Rx7's beautiful FD, boost is addictive like a drug, Roberts red turbomachine sealed the deal for me.
