Mazda has deleted all 12A parts, so Kim's way will be the only way to rebuild 12A's very soon... Once all new 12A housing are gone (won't take long, once everybody realises they're no longer made!), usefull used ones will get sought after too.
Turning 13B housings into 12A ones isn't new, but it seems a serieus job. Good luck anyway

Actually, cutting your inital bridgeport would be relativly easy on it. Its a simple mill, which is just a rotary bit that is stationary, with a moving table under it. (moves in x,y and z directions) So, it would be very easy to cut the main bridge very cleanly, and even open up your runners a bit. You will definatly have to do alot of hand finish work though. I ran a honda head though one of the CNC mills and it opened everything up perfectly, but then there was alot of burrs to remove and smoothing to be done.

Slow day at work today, so why not put it to good use.
Made a Port Scribing Tool out of an old chewed up rotor, nice and handy. :8
And a Seal Box for when building motors.

Sorry, no update on the ground down rotorhousings use in the 12A turbo and prolly won't be for awhile, I got some masonywork to do before the frost kicks in

The other cool thing about it is that you can use the process to use otherwise-junk 13B housings. If you get a set with some decent flaking, you can get it cheap and out-of-spec, machine it down, and go.

BTW you can build a 13b 4 port using 12a irons and gsl-se 13b housings. You will just have to custome make an intake manifold unless you are building a p-port.
Also, great job on the engine build using todays technology. I think that is one of many dreams for us to have a CNC machine- endless possibilities....
