Will rx7 rims fit on my vw bug

Vw bug pattern is 4x 100mm and rx7 is 4 x 113mm

Is it possible to fit these up or is that 13mm crucial?

You'll need an adaptor, or we could use any rims that a Civic could use

Sorry, I mean't non-SE RX7 (FB/SA only). I'm sure you can use any rim a Civic could use on your bug.

i have tried to put 87 base model rims on my jetta. You cant do it with out having the rim remachined by someone. I doubt i would trust an adapter...

Non -SE rims are 4x110, while SE rims are 4x114.3 . Ford 4x108 rims WILL NOT fit on the 4x110 bolt pattern without bending the lugs. THis is very unsafe. It seems that if the bolt pattern is even 2mm off, it won't work.

The hell it will! Over here in Europe a lot of people use Ford 4*108 on RX7`s. We use bolts with a loose head, and it works fine. See picture below!

The picture shows my SA with the 4*110 pattern using Ford rims. Maybe a little bit long distance, but it shows that it is possible. I remember a thread about this where a picture of the actual bolts im using beeing pictured. Try a search for "things you would like to see made for the 1.st gen" in the title.

It may be possible, but it is NOT safe, I like to play with my car and my g/f, NOT with my life.
It's the same like driving 250Km/h with V-rated tires, it can be done, until things goes wrong.

ow... BTW, Morten, i will take pics of the mountings point for the rear seat belts tonight, i haven't had any time yet, winter-time to soon, to dark

13mm DEFINITELY counts for a difference.

That's like half an inch... you try threading three bolts that are a half inch off from where they should be and see what happens

Thanks! I have now ripped my rear seats out, maybe i will install belts, if its possible! I still think the bolts are safe, i have been driving around with them for about 3 years now, you just have to use the correct tourqe when putting the wheel back on. If you do it to hard, the brass will break, and the bolts are ruined...
I found out the hard way....
