Will Not Idle!!!

My car is a Black 1985 Rx7 GSL 12A .

Its Rats Nest has been removed recently. After we did the rats nest it would idle @ 2000rpms! Then the rpm gauge would dance around crazy! So we thought it was a fuel problem since it was missing. We checked it and it had nothing to do with the fuel pump.

We then discovered the busted condensor. We went to Napa and ordered our parts!

we ordered 2 new condensors, New fuel filter, new fuel hose and 4 NGK spark plugs along with Napa PREMIUM spark plugs wires. Tonight we installed all the new parts. Now the car turns on runs, sounds almost normal but will not idle at all! We dont know whats up. IF its a vacuum leak were not sure where to check since all the places seem fine. What is up with my car first idles over the top a 2000 now it wont even idle...

I would still think its a vacuum leak, take some carb cleaner and spray it around potential leak areas. If the rpms increase you have found your leak...

My dad said the coil wires (im assuming this is the spark plug wires) felt kinda cheap even though they were napa PREMIUM..we will have to check that.

i've grown to be very weary of what i get in NAPA brand. their rotor buttons have paint on the contacts and their wires are kinda cheap. i use accel 8.8mm... these things are beast! and a pretty good deal. but the best bang for the buck are the NGK spark plug wire sets.. they're only 20 bucks give or take a dollar and they work great!

ya, I just switched my napa wires to NGK's and it seems to run smoother.

With my car it was the spark plugs... I just bought NGKs and the problem was solved, but you said yourself you bought all new plugs
