will four rubber o rings work on my 83 oil cooler without leaking?

will four rubber o rings work on my 83 oil cooler without leaking?
mazdatrix sent me four rubber O rings when it had 2 plastic rings on one side and 2 rubber rings on the other?

Those 2 plastic rings you speak of used to be pliable rubber rings. That's what the intense heat does to those rings over time.

no **** wow the ones on ones side still feel like rubber
the other side feel like hard plastic
