So basically parts have been mixed up when someone decided to "clean", and all the pulleys got put in a box... and they all look the same.

For 12-A pulley. Leading timing mark should be in line with one of the 4 bolt holes. I use them all the time on 13-B motors since i add timing marks ala Paul Yaw

Ok sweet thanks! One more random question.. or some. Motor is on the work bench right now, and I am getting read to put here in the FB. I have a 12a fount cover on it right now (a NA S5 13b) and I had to do a little shaving on the inside to make it fit with the oil pump. Suggestible or... just bite and get a GSL-SE? Also the S5 water pump will not fit the 12A cover. Would running a 12A water pump on a 13b be ok, or would it not move enough coolant?

This is the first time I have been mixing parts, and building a Fb. I used to doing Fc's, and Tii swaps.

I think the s5 water pump will work if you leave out. One bolt or something.. I just used the 12a housing and pump.. Haven't had any issues so far...

A lot.

You can still use your FB thermostat "neck" because it uses two bolts, not three like the S5. The lower radiator hose fits the S4 as the angle and length are almost exactly the same as FB. The S5 is a different angle and length. You can use an aftermarket aluminum GMB impellor from an FB on an S5 because the bolt locations are similar. They are different on an S5.

S4 is better in every way.

She fits perfect! All I need is to wait for a oil pump chain, and a get the S5 transmission looked at that everything is in check, flywheel resurfaced, and I will have a S5 powered FB! WOOO me.
