Will a 12A distributor work on a GSL-SE 13B? The parts microfiche list one for 12A and one for 13B.

12A = N249-18-200A
13B = N304-18-200B

sure will as long as it's from 81 or later. the 79-80 were point style and j-105 ignitors.

I believe there's a difference in the advance curves between the 2. The timing pulley marks are also different.

the parts fiche shows them as having different part numbers. Scott is on to someting there with the different advance curves idea.. i always thought they were identical but i was wrong.

The 79 were points, so you can't use them.

The 80 has a poor reluctor design so I wouldn't use an SA dizzy.

Any 81 and up 12A dizzy will work.

In a pinch it will work fine. The only big difference is the 13B mech.
advance advances quicker than the 12A and finishes out a bit higher.

timing curves are in the FSM's and the dizzy's are plainly marked with the part number, so it makes it easy to figure out what you have.
