You are correct !

I can't resist correcting people ( damn near everybody ) that say "hot water heater". There is no such thing. It's a water heater. Why would you want to heat hot water ?

You must be from the south, because us southern people like to call our water heaters, hot water heaters. I am in the unique position of hearing that on a daily basis. I enjoy it more when I get to correct the sales associate and tell them they are in the biz and should know better

Seems as though the auction got taken down :-P

David Grimes: What if we decided we wanted the water to be hotter? Wouldn't we then need a "hot water heater"?

hehehehe
