Widest tire on Stock Steel

My GF's 85 base has the 13" stock steel wheels which I believe are thinner than the stock alloy rims.

The car came with some nasty old 165/80R-13 tires. Obviously I want to put somthing a little wider on there, but I was wondering what you think is the widest tire I can put on there without having to worry about tire roll-under. I was thinking along the lines of 185/70R-13's... what do you guys think?

Those should work fine. Many cars came with that size stock on 5" rims.

205/60-13s are a bit pooched out on the stock alloys, I wouldn't bother with them on the steel wheels.
