Theres more to the crankcase ventilation system than just running a hose from the filler tube to the carb.Do you ever get milky sludge in the filler cap?

BTW,only flourolined silicone hose should be used for oil or fuel.If that blue line isnt deteriorated/torn yet,it will be soon from the oil laden vapor.
No milky sludge.

I know about the silicone hose not being good for oil or fuel. I'm trying to get some of the Viton line that Jim, High Temp Silicone, had made earlier this year. But for now that line will do. It's only like 2-3 months old.

with no pcv system, do you develop the sweet lung butter on the inside of your filler tub.

its best to have the pcv hooked up, from the intake mani to pcv valve, to fitting on filler tube, then from the nipple in the picture above then to the charcoal canister, which leads to the gas tank. it will also help you car from oil blowby if your oil seals are going.

carl.

p.s. i think its the base oring on the filter pedistal.

Following this reminder, I replaced that hose with viton hose from the same suplier (Jim, High Temp Silicon).

I'm gonna put the other nipple on (if 1984se ever hooks me up) and maybe cap it, and that should hopefully handle it.

Hmm, because that would be too simple!

Seriously though, it takes a while for any to accumulate, so I don't think it visibly pours out.

Has anyone ever tried permatex spray sealant for the dowel pin leak? I think it was rx7doctor who said to try it.

Well, as much as I hate to admit it , looks like 1984se was right. Got the nipple, put it in, capped it, and there's no more oil depositing on top of the engine.

I owe you a taco of your choice Ryan!

^ there should be a comma after "up", because "****" is the noun of direct address

Nouns of direct address are "set off" by commas. This means that if the
noun of direct address comes at the first of the sentence, it is
followed by a comma as in the first two examples. If the noun of direct
address is in the middle of the sentence, put commas before and after.
If the noun of direct address is at the end of the sentence, put the
comma before it.
