Whos running summitomo 215/50/13's?
when i say rub, it might be because i have 27 year old bushings, old front struts, but the rubbing is on the front tires when making a very sharp u turn and then only. i've had it happen twice and no big deal at all. I wouldnt ever go anything other than these because of that. i would go with 2 215's on the front and see if they rub any more than that. I love my HTRs and will stay with them.
I've heard that 215/50's fit on the stock + style rims with rolling of the fender lips. Its going to depend on the offset of the wheel weather they will fit though. In the front the max width is a 215 IMO, any wider and it will be too close to both the strut and the fender lip. In the rear it is possible to fit about a 235 on rim with just the right offset.

I have the 205s. Carl has 215s and likes them (last I heard), but I have a lot of flex with the ones I have and can't imagine how it would be with the 215s. When autocrossing, I often have to run 50 psi or more to keep the tread on the track, rather than the sidewalls....
Dirt cheap tires, and great for that reason alone.... For a street tire they would be great, but there are better choices for racing (but of course they cost more.... lots more).
I don't like mine in the rain, but that may be related to my suspension since I've heard others say that they have no problems. Overall a very decent tire though. Definitely should be a top choice as long as you aren't working with an unlimited budget.

I got 13 x 7 with 4" offset. 4x110mm bolt pattern. 12.5 lbs. $158 including shipping for all 4. I don't think they are doing the Holiday Sale anymore. The usual price is $69/wheel which is still good.
Also, Diamond Racing Wheels have them too.
I had 235's on the rear w/ the stock 4 spoke and 215 sumitomos in the front and it was great!! even for the street and for the track as well. And I ran them to the ground( well almost) and not a single blowout ever and the tires were on the car when I bought it so you know they had some wear on them as welll
I've run Hoosier 225/50's on the stock rims before. They initially rubbed a little on the suspension due to the bulge, but I used a 1/4" spacer and everything was fine after that.

I'm running the Sumitomo HTR200 205/60-13s on stock + rims, with RB springs and KYB schocks. They're *damn close* but they never rub.
Awesome tires. Probably the best you can get on the stock rims, especially for the price.
My vote goes for them, for sure. I'll post a pic or two of mine later, they look awesome. The pics above make 'em look kinda small
