I too was wonder about the install locatio. I received mine today and I was wondering if you have to install it on the frame rail? I was thinking you could drill holes is the floor pan where the storage bin is and mount it directly to the car without the bracket. Just drill 3 holes the size of the holes on the bracket and use the rubber grommets and bolt it directly in? Does anyone know if this would work? Thanks.
