Who is running oil temp guages?
C'mon guys, if you have installed a oil temperature gauge how high does your temp get? In traffic with the AC on? Pushing hard on the track or mountain driving?
It being summer mine is naturally rising some andI'm trying to decide if my oil cooler needs cleaning or replaced.

I have one, and I believe when I am just driving around normally (flat terrain, some village, little highway, average speed around 60/65) my widebody runs about 220.
This is going off my memory of last year as I finally fixed my oil cooler last week. I drove it for the first time Friday. If it ever stops raining, Ill drive it around and pay more attention to it and report my results.
What are you currently running at?
(now that I think about it, I have the same gauge for my oil temp and water temp. Im pretty sure my water runs 190 which means the other gauge would be oil at 220.)

Mine runs about 165-170* F in normal driving, flat terrain. Measured at the base of the oil filter using a gauge sender installed in a Racing Beat adapter.
Last spring when I drove to Vegas in 105* F heat, It got to about 180*F. Driving up into the mountains (capped out at 8500 feet) It rose to around 185* F, and water temp was just below mid-gauge on the stock needle. Normal water temp is just above the bottom hash-mark. Temps have been verified by infrared thermogun.
However, my car has always run cold, particularly since my last rebuild. I suspect the thermopellet in my FMOC may be stuck open. I don't see it as a bug at this point, so I haven't bothered to do anything about it.

Mines set up for racing. The car is warm (choke in) at 180F, and will stall out of first below that (e.g. cold day <65F highway driving, come to a light, stall when trying to go again). Top end seems to be 200-210F, haven't seen it go above that on the track. I have an upgraded radiator and electric fan.
My T2 Fb's (Measured at the filter pedastal) with A/C on in traffic/commuting etc will see 180*F on the oil, closer to 200 on really hot days. Coolant hovers around 200 with a/c but will spike to 220 when going up a hill etc. With A/C off the coolant rarely goes above 190. Oil temps seem pretty unaffected by A/C usage.
Like DivinDriver I'm pretty sure the thermostat in my oil coolers is stuck open, or at least partly open since the temp varies quite a bit, especially during cooler whether. Seems to do the job though so I haven't bothered to look into it much further.
