The White One is Ready

OK, John from Mile Hile City sent me a maroon driver's side visor (free, including shipping) so now my most recent RX-7 is complete and doing the daily commute, 110 miles a day into Atlanta. And a sweet ride she is!

Impressive daily driver! I used my '81 as my daily driver in 1995 thru 2001 (often over over 80 miles / day) and loved every driving moment. Very nice, indeed.

Thanks Chas and rbf, I am liking the white too, and the red interior, it adds a touch of class.

I added some pictures and a description of what I did to the car since getting it on ebay for $1,545 to the web site. Sorry John, my red leather steering wheel needs to stay with the car, I have a red one without leather, if you need something in the mean time.

Tell Cindy hello for me Matthew! She probably saw the car with the usual road dirt and clutter inside, probably didn't look quite like the web site photos. But it is an impressive looking all original 84 GSL and it runs great.

Web site:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/479957/16

Description of work:

Repairs include:
Replace the right front tie rod and align front end
Swap in a good exhaust manifold (stripped threads on flange)
New brake master cylinder and front and rear pads; bleed
New clutch master and slave; bleed
New plugs, distributer cap and rotor
Good wheels and tread all around
New Radio Shack power antenna
Drain and replace transmission and rear end oil

Extras:
Red leather steering wheel, bought used from RX7club member
Stainless steel brake lines all around
Stainless steel clutch line
10 mm Magnacor ignition wires
K&N air filter
Bonez pre-silencer
New exhaust tips ($5.99 each, at Autozone)
Glass moon roof from my other 7's
John's maroon driver's side sun visor
Black rubber mat for the rear cargo area
Cleaned white oxidation from red plastic parts
