ok i got 83 but the carb is swapped from a 81. I was checking out the haynes manuel to see where the mixture screw is at and it shows a differ carb. I dont know where the hell mine is. I see the idle screw, but theres no mixture screw. if anyone can tell me where then thanks to you. also which direction do i turn it if found.

 

The idle screw is by the throttle/choke linkage and the mixture screw is pretty much in the middle so if you look down below where the fuel inlet/outlet hookups are on the carb to just about the base of the of carb you'll see it. Has a spring on the threads and is slanted upwards towards you if you're looking at it from the drivers side fender. I have a picture, but I'm at work right now and the picture is on my home computer. Someone else here has pictures, I'm sure.
