where the heck is that thread..??

I am searching for the thread where someone modded the car and maybe the gas tank. He used a 2nd gen gas tank(not sure which) on his FB.. or was it an SA,humm.. anyway. The thread I am searching for has a few pictures. Just what I need to determine if this is something I can do.

If anyone can provide a link, it would be most appreciated.

You can't mod a 2nd gen tank to fit a 1st gen. You can mod the 1st gen tank to use the 2nd gen intank FI pump. That thread may be in the archives.

damn i know what I saw.. i better keep checking. Thanks for your input.

I remember one of the pictures CLEARLY.. the spare tire well was "eliminated" and sealed up. I am not sure from there. I think the next picture was of the tube thingy for the gas.

I did checked the threads in the archive section again. Maybe I am missing something(____)!

The FB fuel filler is on the lh side, the FC is on the rh side. I'm not sure why the spare tire well would cut out, unless it was for installing a fuel cell. You can't install an FC tank due to the location of the muffler on the FBs. It would melt the rubber connector hose between the tank and filler neck.

Nope. Threads here go back to 2002.

You should listen to trochoid, he knows of what he speaks.

I know he knows what hes talking about and I believe him. I also remember what I saw, I just want to find the freaking thread and make sure it was what I saw. I am going to stop searching because I am going to be working this whole week 14+ hrs a day. I am not going to have time to get on the computer and do in-depth searches. Just to check if anyone wants those parts I put for sale if not there going to ebay, but thats another story.

thank, guys.

(I wonder how many acctually tryed to find the freaking thing)

There was a thread about putting a FB fuel tank in a SA and removing the spare tire area.
