i was under the impression that remote start doesn't work with manual transmission cars!

1. Remote start won't work on a non-FI engine
2. It should NEVER be installed on a manual tranny

Maybe I didn't describe it correctly, this is a temporary switch with two alligator clips that you use to bypass key so you can turn over engine while working in engine compartment- in this case I need to turn over engine while spraying starting fluid in different areas to find a vac leak- I think you turn key to on position and connect wires directly to starter but I'm not sure. I just don't have anyone t sit in the car and turn over while I check for leaks.

If your Tranny has a neutral switch, then it's okay as long as you make use of it. I know the TII ones do. I have (and have had) remote start for my last 5 cars and trucks.

I will be adding it to the 7 too.

Under the hood, below the brake proportioning valve, look for the harness with 6 pins I think. Theres a black/yellow or black/white, i forget the proper color, test it with a DMM or a test light. If it shows 12V in the crank/start position of the key then thats the wire you use...

Just as a note, I never bought a push button one, I just ran a 10 awg from that pin in the harness and when I wanted to crank the motor I just temp connected the wire to 12V directly at the battery.
