treceb - i like the ones in the link, but i guess that's just my luck that they aren't around here.

yayarx7 - some of those look nice, and some of those look really cheap like they were made out of plastic.

Im believe that the weld racing wheels with the 4x4.25 or 4x108 will fit the rx7 bolt pattern.
These wheels are made for toyotas baby supras and they fit rx7s. and their bolt pattern is 4.25x4.
and ive deginately seen a few rx7s and older rotaries with the weld racing wheel at the track. so if thats the one you like, just give them a call to verify this info. The same thing for the cragars, call and see if they the wheels in the above mentioned bolt pattern.
plus they make these wheels for them
roh snyper which are pretty cool. The only other option, i think, would be to find the wheels from the 83 LE which i think were 14's.

If you want really want those, ask if they custom drill the holes.

Has no one seen the Centerlines I'm yappin' about?! I'm going to go home, take a Polaroid of my '68 FBird's wheels and download it for error402's visual consumption. They ARE different from everything we've seen so far and a lot nicer, in my biased opinion....

Wish We had a normal bolt pattern. There are some other cars that had the 4x110 that came with 14 inchers. link:http://www.solarwinds.com/jdbooker/rx-7faq/

They also sell the Kosei K1 in 4x110 and of course Panasports.
Diamond wheels makes inexpensive steel wheels in 4x110 that I have seen some autocrossers use.

Koseis (white and silver avail.)

Diamond(any damn color you want):

It took a while to get this together. My bro upgraded my PC and I had to rediscover my scanning tools. Excuse the pathetic condition of the 'Bird but she hasn't gotten the attention she's used to since I fell into the rotary world.

There's supposed to be a Centerline center cap on this wheel just like the kind seen on the bottom pic treceb gave us of the Drag wheels. I've got them in storage, though. The nice thing about these wheels is that they are all forged, hence the real rivets, and very light. Because you'll be looking at a 15" X 7" rim, they should price at around $150 a pop. The center can be modified with welding but it shouldn't be necessary because Centerline is like Monocoque Wheels---they have every offset and bolt pattern available or they can make it as long as it's one of their forged wheels. They make cast aluminum center wheels like Budnik's for SUVs and trucks, which is why I mention that caveat. Good luck....

Put all those pics away! Too ugly.

OK, how about a '79-85 Celica/Supra mag wheel?

I have seen a '86-88 base model four-lug RX-7 with Toyota Van 14" wheels. The Van also had 14" mags (odd looking) availible. I have seen said van wheels on a Celica once. As such, the supra/celica wheels should fit theoretically.

If not, make a custom wheel, or make an adaptor with the MAZDA owner's secret weapon: DUCTAPE!

14" rims are so blase. If you want to fill the wells properly, you gotta start with at least 15"s. If you're going to make the argument that 14"s get you out of the hole faster, then stick with the stock 13"s. Error42 was quite specific in the look he's after. Everything so far has catered to his particular sense of style and pictures are always better than words.

Those Panasports on the Parts Trader are too damn much. Mine cost $185 each new, those are $200 each used...

Those bullet hole rims in the original post are Cragars. I had the exact same ones on my Trans Am. I'll have to dig up a picture of it and scan it in.

Where did you get them for thst price? I'd like to have a set but every place i've seen want well over $200 a peice. Are they 15x7?

BTW. we use the dimond raceing wheels on our race car. They aren't bad looking and they are super light. We use 13x7 and they weigh 8lbs a peice. Ours are chrome. they do get bent real easy though.

Thanks,

Mike

SIX TWO SLEEPER, that's not a bad idea, i might have to try that if i can't find these wheels.

(i haven't had my coffe yet)

Its "happy mazda owner dance"
"happy little dance" is what you do when you find out that your GF isn't pregnant...

I don't know the pattern. They seem like they fit.

Toyota rims (celica, supra, van, corolla rwd) are all fitting wheels. seriously I think. Take the tempa-spare from your car and see if it fit's the hub on the junk car.

I actually bought them from Paul Spruiell in Atlanta. I called Panasport and they gave me their number as the closest retailer. I paid $185 each plus shipping, and they are 15x7 FS series. You can see one in the avatar.

A set of them would look really nice on the black car of yours

Just as a note..............we used these same wheels on our ITA cars for 1 race. The centers tore out of them on the first race. If you drive hard, don't use this crap.

When it comes to wheels......you get what you pay for.

OK... confused... are we looking for 12A or GSL-SE?

-SE's had the same bolt pattern as 4-lug FCs... 4x4.5". (aka 4x114.3 or whatever if you MUST be metric) Probably the most common 4-lug pattern in the world, right behind 4x100. (honda/newer mazda/most VWs/etc.)

12A cars had the 4x110 that we know and "love".

4x4.5" is soooooo easy to get wheels for....

Hmmm.... Thats weird. I wonder if we have something different than what you used. We have used them all season on our ITA car and our EP car. The only problems we had was Hoosier keeps bending them when mounting tires. The hoosier guys hate them because they keep bending them.
As far as driving hard on them, Jeff (EP driver) Finished 1st for the year with a lap record set at VIR, and Frank (ITA Driver) finished 3rd this year, his first year driving in ITA.

Hmm. I have a set of Diamonds and they held up quite nicely to track and street use, as well as several seasons by the previous owner, and arguably I drive my car hard. Did you have the superlight wheels or the standard ones?

Then again I'm not on Hoosiers, just some RE71R's.

OOPS! I'm an Idiot. The wheels we use are Circle Racing wheels. Not Diamond. They look just like the diamonds. Sorry.

Maybe we got a bad batch................who knows.

I'm just reporting what happened to us. IMHO, they tried to make steel wheels as light as aluminum and therefore made them too weak.

I run Welds on my EP car. The 15x7s are only 12 lbs and strong as hell. When I crashed at Gateway, I destroyed the entire right side of my car. The right rear wheel was unharmed, and the right front only needed to have the outer rim replaced. All things considered, I'd say they were worth the extra bucks.
