I have generics, but i really don't feel like hammering the shape out of them. Does anyone know if somebody sells replacement stock tirewells? Where you could just cut out the rusted ones, and weld in the new? Or would this be too easy?

any body shop can get replacement metal body components, including wheel wells, for you

Is there anyway i can skip the middle man and just get them myself?

Long story short. My sisters boyfriend is part owner of a shop in lexington, and said that we could work on my car up there. Get the wheel wells taken care of, and do my T2 swap, paint, the whole deal. Well my project car has been at the shop for over 6 months. Everytime i go up there to work on it (hour and a half drive), i end up helping out the guys at the shop with some other project. Now they have kicked the shell outside, and it just sitting there open in the weather. So im getting it towed down here, spending the cash i was going to spend on other things on it, and i just want get the tirewells done. This is a year long process, and it's starting to **** me off. *sigh* i hate my life.

Rant aside, i just want to try and keep my costs down. Do the work myself so i can do it right, or only have myself to blame. More importantly i want to get my car on the road so i can take my GSL down for some much needed repairs.

*shrug*
i think at this point all i can say is damnit.

I'm going to be hunting for wheelwells soon myself. In fact I bet just about every 1st-gen out there either needs them, will need them Very Soon Now, or had them replaced already.

Get someone to cut a set out of a junk car.

most junkyards prohibit cutting of any sort, so going that route won't work.

most u pull it places dont care if you cut. not the ones down here anyway
