Where can i find a replacement gas tank?

it seems like there are no cheap aftermarket ones anywhere. And the dealer wants 500 bucks for a new one.. (f that). and i might be able to plastic line the inside, but the baffles are still rusted out. so what kinda of options do i have? and are the GSLSE tanks special?

Used is probably the only other option. Atlantarx7.com sometimes has them and they'll refurbish them for you. Yes, SE tanks are special, they have extra baffling and larger fuel lines. I have a 12a tank that could easily be brought back to life if your car is carbureted.

They are still available new. They don't get much better shape than that.

They just cost a good chunk of change.

Interestingly, Mazdatrix lists one tank for 12A and 13B cars. I wonder if they are just condensing part numbers (no reason an -SE tank couldn't work in a 12A car) or if they genuinely *are* the same part number.

mazda lists 2 part numbers, fa54 for the 12a and fa66 for the gsl-se.

the 12a tank is no longer available, and doesnt superceed in the mazda system.

as of today, mazdausa has 6 gsl-se gas tanks.
