Wheels from other cars....what fits?

More spefically, what will fit my SE??? I'm finding out that it's a little more uncommon then the others.

I now it's 4 on 114.3, but what other cars have that?

The only one I know that will, is older Nissan 240SX. I know somone who wheels from one on his SE.

Are there any others? I did a search by the way, found no results.

I'm eyeing the new sentra se-r wheels. though I don't like the idea or 17" rims on my 7. Oh, ah they're 114.3 x4.

One way to check bolt patterns is to go to tires.com and select a car and they list the bolt pattern the car has and recommended back spacing

yeah, i was thinking about that.

I was at the junk yard today, and i tried a base model 2nd gen wheel(because my SE uses the same pattern) and I tried to put them on a miata, and they don't fit, so I can't use those(miata wheels), and i also tried one froma protege, and it was the same as the miata. Seems the other bolt patter(not sure what size it is, but it's what the non SE 1st gens have, is much more common.

Yeah, I think the 12A-powered 1st gens use a 4 x 110 pattern. Not very common.

not very common doesn't describe it, I go places and they all say that that can't be the bolt pattern, also pain in the *** to find new from rotors.

The older bolt pattern (79-83) was used on very few cars but the Seven, so finding wheels to fit an older one is real hard. The later ones, what's on your SE and on our 84-85 models (no GSL-SE overhere, but ALL 84-85 models have the uprated suspension/brakes/dash... from the SE, but 12A power) are MUCH more common.
A lot of European cars used that pattern, so you should be able to find plenty of wheels with that pattern.

I didn't know that... Well, I learned something! But still, when we are talking aftermarket wheels you cannot say there's much choice. Especially not overhere! While, for the series 3 (84-85) there is, since you can use plenty of european wheels/aftermarket wheels.
But even with the older pattern, there are some companies who will custom drill them for you. A lot of wheels come in unmachined, and are then drilled to order. So they will make them fit the Seven just aswell. That's what I've been told by a local specialist, so I guess he won't lie... The drilling/machining is included, and some of those 16" wheels aren't that expensive.

I might add that ALL the pre-RX7 rotary cars (except the Cosmo!), use the 4X110mm pattern. I've managed to find a few different sets of wheels in my years of scrounging, mostly 13" X 6".

Alot of your import cars (Honda, Toyota) come with identical lug patterns.

Your Honda Civics are all 4 x 100. (after 89) 4 lug Honda Accords are all 4 x 114.3.

If you have a GSL-SE, you can find MANY aftermarket wheels to fit, as it is the 4 x 114.3 pattern, which is pretty common.

Old Toyotas, older Rx cars, and some british cars keep the 4 x 110 pattern, although, I can't think of any stock wheels from other manufacturers, that will both fit, and look nice on the Rx-7.

its funny how people say it real hard finding 4 x110 rims. im not braging, but i have found 3 sets at the yard.

1 set of 14 x 6 enkie mesh (gold)

1 set of 15 x 7 enkie mesh (gold)

1 set of 15 x 7 bbs mesh (black)

and all 3 times i found them i was not even looking for rims. just looked down and said eh thats a nice rim oh theres the other 3, took one placed it on a 1st gen and said cool it fits.

maybe its just me.

No finding wheels is simple, finding ones that are 1) cheaper and 2) dont have to be customed drilled , is next to impossible
