Wheels

What size wheel will fit my stock 85 GSL-SE? I have searched the forum but sorry to say I get confused because of all the retrofitting everyone does. I'm an old fart and just want something I can bolt on. Car is white and the Konig's I've seen in here are sharp looking.
Thanks
Steve

4x114.3 is the bolt pattern. 15x7 is a pretty good size most people go with. You can run tires around 205 50 15's.

You can get Konigs in 4x114.3; I believe that those come in 14x7, 15x7, and 16x7.

The offset changes varying on the size of the wheel also.
If you wanted to fill out your wheel well gap I would probably go with 15x7 in +0 offset, since the -9 would probably create too much backspacing.

15x7 +0 I don't think you will have to even roll your fenders.

Alright, I have been afraid to start a new thread on this with out my flamesuit, but since this is a wheel thread already.....lol
If you were to order a custom three piece set of 13's what would be the ideal width/offset for a stock 84 with 4X110. The car has stock suspension now but will probably eventualy have REspeeds street coils.

The stock offset for the 4x110 wheels is +20. If you want your wheel to stick out more, then you want more backspacing, aka a lower offset.

In my opinion, i would go with 7 inch wheels with a lower offset just because the stock wheels look too tucked to me. There is a guy on the boards, Kentetsu, who runs 13x8 wheels. He might be able to help out some, i don't remember what offset his wheels are.

Fender rolling is very cool. So if I use 15x7 wheel and 205/50/15 tires, offset would be? I agree as the car sits now the wheels look to tucked in?

I have +7 offset right now. You can do that or +0 like mentioned above.

Sorry i have to correct you there that the more backspacing means the that wheels wil be in more. Back spacing is the space from back of the hub to the outer edge of the wheel so the higher the number the more its going to go inside the fender not to the outside of the car. You're still right about a lower offset. (Offset and backspace work in the same direction)

Charlie 1- Go to "Tire Rack.com", and enter the info. They will show you pictures, give you prices, and, sometimes they have a profile of your car, that you can try on the wheel, to see how it looks.Good prices, good quality, good advice.
By the way 58 is NOT old,if your thinking is right.Don't ask how I know!

84 gsl-se

no mods at all wheels fit perfect on stock suspension. can't go with anything above a +40 offset. the tires will rub the front struts. they are about a quarter inch from them with this setup. check out discount tire direct . you can put in your year and model and it will show you what fits.

Ya the GSL-Se have a different offset than all the other models. All the other models stock came with about 15 or 20 offset. The -Se's were higher

Your right 58 isn't that old, I just made the assumption, which I shouldn't do, that with all the great mods you all do that I might be one of the few that wants to keep my classic, a classic. So here I am looking at wheels, but I would keep the stock set and put on another set, just for a change.

Custom Wheels - 1985 RX7

I'm trying to purchase a set of PANASPORT wheels for my 1985 RX-7 and was asked what offset I wanted? I have no idea what the offset should be nor do I know how to determine this. Wheel size is 15x7 and bolt pattern is 4x110. This is the extent of my knowledge regarding this matter... Please help!!
