Wheel spacer help...
Ok so my GF's landlord gave me some rims. He said they were on his 82. There 16" rims and 205mm wide. front driver side is 55mm profile, and passenger side is 50mm. rears are both 45mm. So I assumed I'd need some longer wheel studs but it turns out I'll need a spacer for these to fit also. also the holes for the lugs are small so I'll need smaller diameter lug nuts or studs so I can get them tightened. I'm having a brain fart of what you call a x bar. I know the name, but cant think of it now. so what do I need to make these fit?
I went to a used tire place to ask the guy and he said I'll need adapters to space them out. and I'm looking at about 300 dollars. I know this can be done cheaper. My gf's landlord said something about bolts and washers to space it out. would that work?

i think you are describing the tire size, correct?
i say try test fitting them first before you do anything else. maybe you'd want to get another 205 50 or 55 to match the other tire?
what would really help us figure out whether it will fit or not would be your rim width which is measured from each end where the tire bead sits and hub offset
put some pics of your rims too

The tire sizes are R16/55/205 for driver side, R16/50/205 on the passenger and R16/45/205 on both rears. he said it was a autox trick. I did test fit them and they hit the suspension on the front, I didn't try the rears yet. but I don't want to space the fronts and not the back anyway. that would look kinda dumb. I also need a smaller size lug to be able to fit the tire iron in the holes for the lugs. so what are my options? I don't want to spend 300 on getting these tires on. btw they still need to be cleaned and polished. so pics not so great.

Sounds like you need wheel adapters. If your wheel is hitting the suspension, the offset is too high. The wheels probably have a gsl-se bolt pattern and offset. To give us a better idea, measure the bolt hole circle. This is done by measuring the distance between the center of two bolt holes directly accross from each other.

measured from center to center at 4-9/16" could be 4-1/2, but looks larger. He said they were on his 82 FB and were 4X110. I don't think he has the spacers. but I'll ask him to look. Hes bringing me a FC tranny soon. also from where the hub mounts to outside of tire is 6-1/2", so how big of a spacer will I need. also where can I get a cheep set of wheel spacers.
I also measured the holes for the lug nuts and they are 1-1/16" so what size lugs do I need?

sound's like you need tuner lug bolt's to fit inside the i.d. (yes they exsist..) or just get the screw in stud's and the right lug nut's..which in this case would prolly have to be tuner as well since the hole is smaller and the tuner lug key is a thin wall socket..eather way good luck. this is kind of alot to mount some wheel's IMHO...if he said that they were on his 82 they should fit no problem..that x bar is called a tire iron..and please dont use the "bolt's and washer's deal.." never have i heard that in my life, get it done right the first time..if you want to mount the wheel's bad enough i personally would eather drop the cash for the adapter's OR wait and go with the screw in stud's and lug's...eather way your going to be spendin' them end's..lol

yeah, I was having a brain fart about the tire iron. I remembered what it was called about 20 minutes later, but never fixed it. I got the point accross though. So can any one tell me if these are 4X110, or 4X114.3?

I'm running a set of wheel adapters from Techno Toy Tuning. $209 shipped, took them a week to get fabbed up. I got the 33mm size. They come with all the hardware and are very nice pieces. They convert the 4 x 110 pattern to 4 x 100.
I'm running 205/50/15 tires on Rota Slipstreams in 40 offset. The outside edge of the tire extends ever so slightly past the stock fender lips, and the fronts clear perfectly...the rears rub a bit, I need to roll the inside edge of the rear wheel wells. Best mod I've done yet.

So just get different rims I suppose. sorry I had the tire sizes backwards. I was going from memory. I guess I'm a little dyslexic.... tire sizes are 205/55/R16, 205/50/R16, and rears are 205/45/R16. He said the taller profile goes to the front drivers side. Well maybe I'll get some adapters or do a SE swap eventually. Then finding rims wont be such a pita.
