Unhappy clutch effs up

THIS ALREADY HAPPENED ONCE....

so all of a sudden my clutch craps out on me...when i step on the clutch..it gets stuck to the floor...the first time it happened, i replaced the master cylinder and things were fine for a couple of months....my clutch is pretty much dead right now

do i have to replace the master cylinder again or will changing the slave cylinder help?....or do i just have to try and bleed the system?.....anyways i have an extra slave cylinder and im wondering if the clutch being stuck on the floor has anything to do with the slave....

the oil under the ledals indicates seepage from the piston seal on the clutch master cylinder. remove the slave cylinder and replace it as the master and slave shoud be replaced as a pair, including the clutch hose and crush washer. are you still getting fluid seepage even after replacing the clutch master? are you noticing any drop in fluid at the resivour?

most of the time you end up having to replace both, because new one holds more pressure and ends up screwing up the old one even if it wasn't bad to begin with.

The slave on the tranny is a bolt off/on. Getting to it is the hard part. I use a 1/4" drive and enough extensions to get the ratchet above the hood line. Do not over tighten when reinstalling, it's not hard to strip the threads in the aluminum bell housing. You can get the hose from the usual vendors, RB, MT and BD. Go for the stainless steel one and replace both the master and slave.

Wow, this just happened to me on my drive home. Sucks, but better now than on the track.

So, where is the best place to get the Master, slave and the braided hose? I could not find it on RB and RX7.com no longer has it.

mazdatrix has them, and you can get them on e-bay also. Its probably not as good as mazdatix's But seems to work well enough. Master and slave can be purchased at Shucks or CSK, Checker, Kragen, O-Reilly. all the same place just different names. I got both for around 90 bucks. they also have a lifetime guarantee
