wheel off set for 1st gen

what's the off set of the standard wheel for s3 rx7 (1985)?? i have been told +35 and +40

and what off set if buy aftermarket wheels??

If you want wheels that sit under the car the same way the stock ones do, buy something with the same offset. Im not sure what the standard (12A) cars offset is. I would like to know myself. Im sure that the +40 was the stock offset for the GSL-SE (13B) cars.

i think the off set is +40 too...
but now u got 2 unsure answers which aint much help..

like 15x7 or 15x8, should need different off set

I have some 17*7's that are +40 offset for a honda. The back side of the rim hit the springs/struts before they will sit flat on the hub.

There was a thread a few weeks back where somebody was using spacers/wheel adapters to use honda rims on his rx. The spacers where 1.25" thick and he was using 17*7 with I think +35 rims.
