Wheel Help?
I'm looking for some new wheels for my 7. In paticular, I'm looking for some light, cheap (!), steel wheels. Anything in the 13-15" range. I've been looking at some cheaper drag racing steel wheels (Here) that seemed like the deal, but they were a 4x4.25 (107.95mm) bolt pattern and the guys at Summits Tech dept. said they wouldn't fit on my 110. Anybody wanna clear this up? I have a sneaky suspicion that they could be being overly cautious, considering its only 2.1mm different, just over 1mm on each side, but I'm not too sure.
I've also looking at Diamondracing and they seem to be really sweet, but call me cheap but I think that they are a bit pricey, especially considering there no-so-special steel wheels. Anybody know of any other places that would sell racing-type steel wheels for cheaper?

They are not being overly cautious, 4X108 wheels DO NOT fit on 4X110 hubs. This question has been asked many times, the answer is still the same, it doesn't fit and is unsafe. Mariah used to sell steelies that went with their body kits, don't know if they still do or not.

for your own interest.....
jaguar run 5/120.65
bmw run 5/120
even those wheels that are only off by .65mm are not interchangeable!!!!!
oh you can bash them on and it will bend/snap your studs???
so the difference between 108 and 110 in PCD is MASSIVE DUDE!!!!!
buy 15s or keep ya std wheels!!!!
go 15x7s front on 195/50/15
and 15x8s rear on 205/50/15

a slight difference in weight wouldnt be so noticable
the sidewall height kills 13s mostly....
especially with std width rims
you could go 13x8s with good tyres but the almost same $$$ would buy 15s with same tyres
note that some racing classes may not allow 15s or 50 series tyres
in every aspect 15s are better, cost, performance
and they look a **** load better at the same time
buying wider 13in rims will perform better, but not as good as 15s, and look like "glorified expensive hubcaps"

THANX HEAPS KENETSU she looks tough!!!!!!
wheels look awesome like that but those babys stick out the gaurds
the difference between a 13,14 & 15in rim and tyre is basically negligable
unless youre talking stupid pimp full face chrome wheels soooo heavy
vs
racing spec wheels and tyres
then that little bit would make a huge difference!!!!!
but a 13in racing setup vs 15in racing setup, basically same same weight
I have been involved with many race cars....triumph GT6s, Rx2,3,4,7s
datsun 510s and many more but when it comes to rim and tyre selection the tyre regulations are always the first consideration!!!!
In Australia for racing most smaller cars choose 13 in rims, this is only due to sidewall height regulation for most classes to be 60 aspect ratio(eg205/60/13 on 13x8)
this is to keep things more period correct/era specific.....**** idea hey!!!
If 50 series or lower are alowed to be used almost every small race car would be on 15 in rims
in japan AE86 N2 cup modification is open, noone runs 13s everyone runs 15s and some have gone 17s(AE86s very simmilar in suspn/chassis/size/weight)
In japan for 1st gens an anything simmilar size, 15s seem the default size
I have never seen, picked up one those diamond racing steel wheels,
but being steel, even if racing spec wheels theyd atleast bsame weight as 15s
if not more???
In my opinion:
if there are no regulations to abide by
15s are best if you want wheels to fit under std gaurds
17s are best for going wider than std gaurds

I haven't weighed them, but they are very light. With the wide Hoosiers on there, the wheel and tire combo is a lot lighter than the stock wheel with the Sumitomo.
