Whats your dream 1st gen setup?

If you had all the money in the world, and the option to do any mod you could, what would you do?

Can I have two?

One would have an old-school 13B bridge or PP with 51mm Weber under the bonnet, ear-bleeding exhaust system, wide-body kit (possibly Daytona), massive rubber under each corner and fully tweaked road racing suspension.

The other one would run a 13BT, a driveline to cope with the 500 or so hp, 17inch Simmons and no body mods. Much like AJC's 1st gen.

I know that I'll definately own something resembling at least one of those in the near future... not sure which though.

3 rotor.com is making that 4 rotor cosmo!
But a 4 rotor 1st gen! holy ****!!! "What do you got in there?" "Uhh...a four!" naturally aspirated 600hp.

Moi? For now, I would say a 12a with a t40 turbo that can do 8's in the quarter mile....but can turn too

If that's Imperial gallons (~4.5l/gal) that's not too difficult

i'm pretty much with Damon

except I'd street-port my 20b, and run a 150-shot of nitrous

and delete the body kit. Stock exterior 'cept for some Hayashi Racing Classic Street wheels, 15". And start with an '85 GSL-SE (mine!)

OH, and it HAS to have a Stack Race Display.

if revhead gets two then so do i,

1- a mint condition 1985 gsl-se silver in color, and i mean mint,so clean it wouldnt even be worth a doller to go through and lick any part of the car.

2- a streetable 4 rotor with a custom atkins supercharger, preferably putting 700+ hp to the rear wheels

Start with a Mint condition 1985 GSL-SE with grey interior, then add:

And the part we'll probably never get...
NO Exhaust/Gas Smell or fumes EVER!!

my dream would be just to get an "almost-crazy" streetport 13B and slap a T3/T4 hybrid w/dual ball bearings on it. TWM-induction and Haltech management. everything lightened, polished and thermal coated. SUPER CLEAN!!!! i'll use a T2 tranny, hardened GSL rear so that i can keep the polished, stock 13's on it! i'd paint it silver and navy blue, and use just a hint of violet in the clear! factory-style rear spoiler ... but no other body mods (except maybe a small vent for underhood heat) ...

i would want start out with a stock, mint jspec 12a turbo then upgrade the turbo add an intercooler and suspension to make it a bit quicker and hug the road better.maybe a few other boltons for fun but keep it looking all stock except maybe the rims. that would be so unique here in the states.

Yeah Alex, Im living my dream too right now, and its a f^%king NIGHTMARE. I got 10 grand in something that runs and idles, other than that, it aint worth a ****. I got nobody even remotely close that can tune it. Man I got to thinking about having to drive a 1000 miles ONE WAY to tune this thing, and the fact I have close to 10,000 in this thing counting paint and the extras Im gonna do. I almost cried, I should have done a v8 swap.

Thank god you live by someone that freaking knows their *** from the hole in the ground. Also get on AOL IM when you can theres something I need to tell you.

I'd go for slightly modified looks, low weight, and a moderately powerful, very reliable engine:

-First off, the car would be a White '85 GS

      -Stock Grey fabric interior

-Custom fit grey fabric seats from a '97 A4 1.8T

      -1" drop kit

-13B REW straight out of a 3rd Gen, or a 13BT from an 89+ TII

-Custom rack and pinion steering (selectable power boost, and something like around a 15:1 to 10:1 ratio, so you wouldn't have to exert huge efforts when parallel parking, but you'd get that force-feedback video game feel when driving regularly or autocrossing, and the boost would be manually selectable, not speed dependent)

      -MOMO Milennium steering wheel

-Black leather shift **** and boot (but keep nominally the same shape for the ****, and keep the chrome ring)

      -Short shifter

      -FD suspension (w/ 5x4.5 lugs)

-RAYS Engineering Volk Racing TE-37 15x7.5s in White with Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions in 205/50WR15 (for summer)

-Flat black stamped steel 15x7s with Bridgestone Blizzak MZ-01 205/QR15 (for winter)

-Fairly quiet exhaust (this would be my daily driver/weekend warrior)

-Biggest damn Brembo brake kit that'll fit inside 15s, with black calipers, not red

-Stock stereo speaker locations with Infinity Kappas, with the addition of JL Audio 6" subs behind the rear carpet on either side of the latch, and a big enough amp to run the entire setup (actually 2, in their stock locations)

-One of Manntis' gauge-type cupholder setups, with a matching silver head unit, and turbo pressure, exhaust temp, and water pressure gauges

-GSL-SE rear hatch, with rear wiper, including the stock switch on the dash

-Tokico Illumina shocks all around (custom fit for the FD suspension)

-RB sway bars (these would also have to be custom fit, due to the FD suspension)

      -RB strut tower bar

      -Custom rear strut tower bar

Oh, and just for functionality, a j-spec rear seat

I would want to get a hold of an old 787b. The 4 rotor beasts that were banned from the track 'cause they couldn't lose.

      chin up mike-p-28,
i know the feeling of frustration, and i wish i could offer good advice or my services to help you out, but i'm a bit short on good advice and "true" talent ...

i will say this, though, you've passed the point of where it would have been sensible to return, so just try to hang in there. where do you plan to take the car?

i have no idea where Owensboro, KY is, but how far is it from Manassas, VA? should be less than 1,000 miles, right? - don't know ... but i think that's where Peter Farrell's place is, if you call and see if they can help, and you can get the car there, then you should be okay.

My dream is what I plan on doing this winter. Putting a TII driveline and motor in my car. And hope to put a TII hood scoop on like the sliver mariha car. Oh it's a 83 limited I'm doing this too. heh
