I thought that the oil feed to the oil cooler went to the top bung and the return was on the bottom. At least that is how I remember it being for my FC oil cooler.

BINGO

its a great diagram for those who dont know whats the oil path around the engine, kinda weird they screwed up with the oil cooler lines.

Further on, when they explain the internal oil cooler bypass, they do it right

Its not all that uncommon. I have found many spelling errors and whatnot in the factory manuals. It is kind of weird they messed up the technical operation though.
