Unhappy What's wrong with this pic?

As the tittle states. First correct answer gets a cookie.

I didn't think this was possible.

And the first post is a winner!!!

I went out yesterday afternoon to install the flywheel and set the clearance and wondered why the flywheel was loose. When I figured put what I had done, I started laughing and walked out of the shop.

I can't believe I did that. It is now back together properly and with no damage to the seals.

Can't give you a used engine, but if you send me yours, I can rebuild it with my 'new' assembly method and it should run really fast in reverse.

You must have looked hard to dig this old thread up. Thanks for letting me laugh at myself again. We learn more from our mistakes than doing everything right the first. This is one booboo I had forgotten about but it's also one of the funniest ones.

Once I realized what I had done and had a good laugh over it I had to post it. If someone had told me before hand that the e-shaft could be installed backwards, I would have said no way was it possible. I was so careful during the build, had the FSM, Haynes and the RA video. When I went back in the shop the next day to install the flywheel, it took me a few minutes to figure out why it didn't mount up. I was dumbfounded when I discovered why.

It turned out to be one of those simple dumb mistakes that anyone could make. And trust me, I make my share of them like everyone else. It was just too funny not to share.

LOL. Thanks. I will now add that to the checklist...

- Long end of e-shaft towards the front? Check.

ive never attempted this one. i think the reason why is that when i was learning to build these it was pounded into my head to leave the big nut on the shaft, it really sucks when you strip that thread!

i think i've done everything else though...

I know a couple of people that have done the same thing. Hey if you don't make mistakes you don't learn anything!
