Whats missing on this engine??

Hey guys I just got this 12a engine and I would like to know what parts I still need to buy in order to get the engine fully working, if you can provide the parts with some pictures that would be better, thanks.

Well you didn't specify SO....from what i can see:

A Carb
Alternator
Belts
Slave Cylinder (bolts onto top of engine)
Tap some holes for those oil lines or run Pre-Mix
SUGGESTION: Upgrade to FMOC

Do you have a car for this yet?

At first glance, alternator, distributor and a carb... it was converted to an aftermarket carb (thus the RB intake manifold)... so you really dont have much to get. Is it supposed to be a running block?

A TURBO!!! lol

Um Edit on experiment 7. I could be wrong but imma go with you were talking about clutch slave cylinder, and that bolts to the transmission (99.8 percent sure becuase i took my engine out and my slave is still on the tranny...)

Missing a fan... lol

Replace your t-stat

Belts (sorry stating some obvious stuff here)

OMG FRAM OIL FILTER. Please, take it off!!!!

We seriously need some background information. What are you planning on putting it in?. You have no Carb, alternator, distributer. youll probably need new plugs. T-stat. Fan of some form, belts. Is there emissions on DR?

Oh posted as you did

So you are gonna need some fab work and a transmission/driveline

Behive oil cooler does an ok job for stock applications, you just need to make sure your cooling system is in good shape

Ok, there are no emissions here in DR, I would like to leave the engine stock on my starlet since it will make too much power for that small chassis .

And yes I will need to do some custom work in order to fit the engine in and will need to do some fab to make the turbo 2 trans to bolt to the 12a engine as some people told me thats possible to do.

You are right, Toyota Starlet KP61. There are many starlets @ Puerto Rico with rotary setups.

Do you have a picture of the t-stat or can you mark my t-stat in any of the pictures?? and Which t-stat I should get?

Thanks.

The slave cylinder it bolted to the tranny(not the motor), so if you are putting this in a toyota, you might want to make sure it has one with the CAR.

T-stat will be where the upper rad hose bolts to the engine near the water pump. the 2 bolts with a flange looking attachment, its in there. ONLY replace with mazda OEM, not aftermarket stuff, they just dont seem to work in these cars. only like 2 dollars more than aftermarket stuff.

Just good to replace

need to hook up some of the vents like on the filler tube, but basically yes. Finding a carb to fit that mani could be tricky or expensive. Sterling on this forum modifies stock carbs to impressive results. You would just need a manifold for it if you go that route

make sure you look up right model number for spark plugs. NGK's are the way to go BR8Q something i think

If you have room to store or strip it. Buy a parts car (a junker etc).

About that RB Manifold on it...

It doesn't appear to have had a Holley carb ever on it b/c the oil-er lines running to it are still in pairs, but when the RB Holley system is installed, the oil-er is suppost to have a y-connect and only run one line up. So that manifold was just thrown on for whatever reason. If you want to get rid of it and go stock, Ill take it off your hands, AND I know a guy who has a stock intake mani/carb That seriously needs sum work. I know this b/c I traded my stock for his RB setup

Let me know and I can PM you his #.
