No, but I figured a big black banner with red caps lock should give a hint. Never have and never will tub an FB.

Who needs suspension? JUST WELD IT TO THE BODY. Haha.

You can run a 235 on a 8" rim w/ 35 offset.

Next time do a search.

I'd say that the tallest wheel yo can put on an FB or SA without raising or cutting space for the well wheels to prevent steering and bottoming out issues; would be 17" rims with a 40 sidewall.

As for width... I agree with everyone else.

one thing i have never liked about your car is how low the exhaust sits down. any reason behind this??

lol not really any good reason.. the car was at the house and couldnt drive it to the exhaust shop.. so had to eye ball the measuerments and tell the exhaust guy where to bend,, he said it would be no where close but other then it being a lil low its not a bad job for an eyeball

hey guys, that second number in a tire's size isn't the sidewall height;
it's the aspect ratio

lets say we have a 225/40-17 225 is the section width, 40 really means 40% of 225
aka, 90 mm of sidewall height

this nuber is dependant on the width of the tire, so you cant just throw on any width tire and and expect it to fit ok with as long as it has a 40 series sidewall

just thought I'd cledar that up for you guys :]

Hit Redline... The wheels are Icon, i cant remeber the model though (bought them used) So im also not totally sure about the offset but i believe they are either 38 or 40mm.

mpk.. The front is 215/45/17.. Im running a 5mm spacer due to the coil-over setup. I also had to roll the fender lips. I tried to fit a 225 upfront, but there just isnt space unless i wanted a giant wheel gap.

Something to remeber though, is that different brands, vary in width, for the same size... IE. 225 from BFG might be wider than 225 from Toyo.

Just curious. Why would you run a wider wheel then the tire you are going to put on. Is there some performance factor here. Sorry just don't like that look.

How about a side shot?

im am currently running 215/45/16 toyo's up front with a 5m spacer, HP blues and soon to go on Noltec top mounts, 225/45/16 on the rear no spacers no problems
i just want to see if anyone else is running the 215 without a spacer i know its tight but i think the spacer is causing problems soomewhere else, going to fit a standard pair up front and see if i have the same issue, its like a crecky knock on near to full turn and only happens at very slow speeds (knock varies with speed too) i have replaced all the bushes but do have some new ball joints as thats next on the list!!

thanks
Mark

The only issues i've had was that at near full lock, the tire would rub on the sway bar creating an odd noise.. You may want to turn the wheels and have a look. Another issue was if my ride height was too low, over bumps the tire would rub on the inner wheel well plastic.

yer im gonna pull the wheels off and have a look this weekend, im running king spring super lows so it is pretty low, i have some bump steers to overcome the drop so these may change things when they go on! (they sit under the strut inbetween the strut and the ball joint, it gives you the 3" drop back so the steering and roll bars are moved back to a stock postion
