My 1st gen.......
I have 16 x 7.5 Konigs';
Racing Beat coils and Tokico blues all the way around.
Rear tires are 225 -55- 16;
Front tires are 205 -50- 16;
Going to get 215 -55 - 16 next for the rears to see if the 7 will handle even better.

look at the picture closely, i have 5 lug...which respeed has a conversion kit for you to swap to 5 lug axles. (i dont have that, but you could do it) i personally am running a custom toyota setup. (bolt pattern is 5x114.3 or 5x4.5 for those who go standard)

I've always had wider tires in the back on all of my Mazdas. There seems to be more 2nd gens for sale than 1st gens lately here in CA.
So do you have a rotary 1200? I just sold my 1200 a couple of months ago. Went to a good rotary head.

Hey Bro,,,
I have 215/35/18 on some 18x7.5... If you go to wheelmax.com or bigwheels.net,, they have a wheel size calcvulator,,, From what I understand as long as you keep all the measurements the same as stock you should not have a problem, my rimss are only 2mm wider than stock and are actually shorter by like for 4mm... So basically my new rims are about the same gerth as the oem ones.... Peace
Just what I have found out, hope it can help....
I will post pics soon
