Whatcha' think about the pipes?

Before I begin I know its a piston motor......So please don't hate on me too bad!! lol
I have been having second thoughts about my side pipes and thought I would ask you guys, while I have been told many times it looks like the 60's era stingray I am not sure about how I like the look and have thought about doing somewhat of a "tuner" looking exhaust. I am going to turbo this by the end of the year and with the final setup I am going to have full 3" downpipe and 3" all the way back out the stock exit.

Here are some options for now
1) Go ahead and do a "Y-Pipe" and run the 2 into 1 and back to the rear and use a V8 oval muffler like flowmaster or maganflow.
2) just run "dumps" with the same type of V8 muffler this time keep it duals and dump them under the car
3) Run the Y-pipe into 1 full 3" out the rear with a "tuner" round straight through style muffler?
4) Leave the side pipes?

first time I have seen side pipes on a 7, even though it is a piston. I say keep them.

Yeah I do like the way they look, but I wish that they sounded a little different. They must be muffled somewhat because they arent even loud at all! they just sound kinda.....Blah.....I dunno

Yeah the rear rims are on there temoralily because I had to get a stronger rear end and the bolt pattern isnt the same, I am getting that drilled back out to 4x114.3 this next week. I have to replace the donut exhaust gaskets because they are leaking bad again!! thats why I am considering going ahead and doing away with the side pipes

Oh yeah, if I do the Y-pipe right behind the motor and go to the 3" pipe now once I turbo the car I wont have change anything on the exhaust except removing teh Y-pipe and installing the downpipe......just more food for thought....

it looks badass, but if you have the money now, save yourself the headache down the road and do the swap

I dont have the money right now to complete the turbo swap, I have the turbo, manifolds, and flanges but would need lots more stuff, probably around $1000 more. And I could afford to go ahead and setup the exhaust this next week

The sidepipes will always need new gaskets. The engine moves as you step on the gas, but the pipes cannot move with it. Sidepipes look cool and all, but they can be a real pain in the leg.........
Since you have plans to go turbo, you'll wind up spending the money for a larger diameter single pipe anyways, so I would just go that route now. As for the muffler, the choice is really up to you. With turbo plans, thought needs to be concentrated on flow, as well as overall sound output.

The more I think about it I think I am going to go ahead and do away with the side pipes, I want to do the 2 into 1 and run a full 3" all the way out the back with a tuner muffler.

What do you guys think about putting the muffler at an angle and pointing up? kinda like the way the supras are?
