What Are Your Favorite Carb and Intake Setups?
This would be for a street ported 13b GSL-SE 6 port with the ports always open.

I've got the RB Holley setup on my SP 6port. I like it, great low end, starts in sub zero temps and is relatively streight forward to mess with.
The cons are, It starves under high g left turns (which can be fixed with a race float kit apearantly) and I still don't think racing beat has figured out how to get the secondairys to open off vacume (but they ashure me they will) so I still have a screw jamed in my linkage to open them manualy.

i have a 45doce, but god knows how beautiful teh 51 ida is. My personal oppinion is that for turbo/supercharged apps the 48 dcoe is the way to go. And NA 51ida. I'm convinced that durrning the creation of the 51 IDA the design-er/team unarguably had divine inspiration...

48 IDA or 51 IDA for the 13b streetport...
I'm curious, does anyone make a manifold for the 45 or 48dcoe where it's truely on the side of the housings? Instead of on top, and then have to curl around? Wouldn't the air be more direct if the carbs were truely on the side. For 4bangers, they have the carbs truely sidedraft.

TWM use to make one too. Not sure if they ever made a single carb version, but I have there dual sidedraft version.

I have a Holley 750 dp on my SP 13B w/ the RB intake. Don't recomend it though. Runs smooth & is tuned just right but too much for the engine in the street. I'd go for a 600-650 if I did it again.

if i was planning to keep this thing carbureted, then i'd get the Lake Cities manifold and get rid of this DHLA/DCOE wraparound crap! however, i plan to use an IDA-based EFI setup in the future so i will continue to try tuning what i have until then.
