What would you want to have?

I was driving along day dreaming today, and I started to think: What would it be like if RX-7s were front wheel drive? Or All Wheel Drive? Then I wondered what other RX-7 owners would think about the question, so here it is. (Also cause I have nothing else to do while the wife cooks dinner )

My DSM was all wheel drive and it handled so sweet . It was nuts what it could do in a cruve.(push & pull) But i wouldn't change my 83gsl or 88 TII. I love them in there own way. I just raced a fwd dsm today and he cherped them in 2nd but thats all he can do. He looked at me like i was nothing > (had no clue) I do hope he injoyed the view of my dule HKS hanging out the back. RWD all the way.

Why should you want to change this??? The RWD simply belongs to a sports car! FWD is for family cars, AWD/4WD for SUV etc... And for people who can't drive a RWD :-)

AWD first gen RX7 hummmmm......

would it be possible ?
what would you use ?

I drove an awd mittssu eclipse turbo with a few mods and WOW......... was it fast and stuck to the road like glue...corners were EXELLENT !!!
and it could pin you to your seat all the way threw the gears.
take a AWD mittsu eclipse or AWD 3000 gt twin/turbo , put the first gen body over it NOW that would be a sleeper to know END OHH YEA ........:blue:

Mate a 13bt to the rest of a WRX drivetrain, and throw that under an FB. I thing that would be sweet! By the way what is a DSM as mentioned above?

AWD FB with a 13BT oh man, that would rule so much ***. RWD is fun for ******* around, but nothing beats AWD. Has anyone not factory backed ever done it? I wanna do it.

AWD, for what? Rally, yes definately. Maybe drag, but nothing can match the ability to take sharp corners faster that RWD. Oversteer, if used wisely, kicks butt, plain and simple. AWD and FWD cars have a hard time getting it. RWD all the way, just be smart in adverse conditions.
