The quick and dirty way to tell is to replace your plugs as they sound like there fouled. Is your car smoking alot? What do you mean by oil leak, On the pan the housing the omp or the oil cooler?

Sounds like your leading ignition has a problem. Since the lower plugs are black (the leading plugs), that means that they are not likely firing. I would check everything on the leading side of the ignition. Thats the coil, wires, ignitor, and even the distributor cap and rotor. But chances are your ignitor went out. If you have the know how, hook up a tach to the negative side of the coil closest to the driver. If the tach works, your ignitor is fine and you have problems elsewhere. If the tach doesn't work, then you have a bad ignitor. Hope this helps.
BTW, your oil leak is probably just coincidence. But it is possible that you wrecked one of your oil seals in the front rotor, and that is allowing an excessive amount of oil to be burned in the engine. But I don't think this has anything to do with the rough idle and low power.

The first thing I would do is get a new keyboard. Looks like yours is dropping letters.
Seriously though, may be a clogged cat or fuel filter (though, they're typically not known for sudden losses of power, usually a "getting worse" type problem.)

I just recently lost the coil on my leading ignition. The symptoms were loss of power, and a very hot engine (althought the temp gauge continued to read ok). When I would stop and look under the hood, I could see lite smoke coming off the motor, and it was ticking really loud.
I swapped the coils around, and that got me to the parts shop where I purchased another coil. Now it runs fine again. Good luck!

Its your ignitor.... check the damn thing, cap wires and rotor have nothing to do with it.......
pull off the wires on the coil, and crank over the engine.... they both should throw spark to the side with wires..... Which one doesnt work?
Later, Andrew....

Try what 79+80+84_rx-7 suggested.
Pull the "spark plug type wires" off of both coils, then crank the motor over. Both coils should shoot a spark out of it. This is a very easy thing to do, so please try it. I'll bet you dinner the next time you're in Michigan that one of them will not have spark. This means that you're leading ignition has an issue, which is what all the symptoms are currently pointing to.
If you come to a forum and ask for assistance, then please don't disregard somebody's advice just because you don't "think" that that's the problem. You kind of have an obligation to follow their advice, if you came asking for it. Good luck man

I'm sorry, but your going to have to type a little better here. I had to read over your last post like 20 times just to understand it. Can't help you if we can't read the question.
But I think your confusing ignitors and coils. The ignitors are mounted to the side of the distributor. They are the two little boxes with wires coming out of them, closest to the alternator. These could be bad, and most likely are.
