What to use for OMP lines?
I know that leaking oil coolers destroy rubber hoses, so what can I use for OMP lines other than rubber? I need to fabricate some new lines and need it to be relatively simple, so what all works? They'll be going to a single port on the float bowl, so I can't just reuse the stock ones.

If I wanted to make new OMP lines, I'd reuse the rubber ends (if they were still good) and run some copper tubing to connect them up. Copper tubing won't get brittle and snap if you look at it funny like the stock OMP lines.

The thing is, I'm not replacing the lines - I'm fabbing new ones. I'm going to make an OMP manifold that's one line running up to and under my intake manifold (sidedraft carb). I'll have a tee inline for rotor 1 and continue the line back to rotor 2. I'll tee there and run rotor 2's line into the manifold. From that final tee fitting I'll run tubing into the sub-zero assist which will have a manual switch. That way, I can still use my sub-zero (fill with ATF for James Bond smokescreens on demand) to bump compression up when she won't start.
That's why I'm running a single new OMP line.

You can't see how well the OMP is working with the plasticl lines anyway. You need to pull a line off the carb and check the flow manually.

I am being laughing heartily.
Think bout it... the OMP only lubes the apex seals. Apex seals cannot cause an engine to lock up, they just wear out. (Not counting carbon lock, which is unrelated to the OMP)

I found the thread. Scroll down a bit. http://frost.bbboy.net/vwengineconve...rum=1&thread=6
It's funny how he changed his story right after I corrected him. Then he besically repeated what I said to try to sound smart. Words failed me, but there was one emoticon for what I was feeling.
There seemed to be a lot of misinfo going on over there so I stopped participating on that forum. My loss I suppose, plus I sold my only VW around then, so there was no longer a reason to even bother with it.
