What type of fuel pump on a Weber 48 IDA?

I think I am going to sell my 600 holley carbs and go with a Weber 48 IDA for my 1/2 bridge. My question is this, what fuel pump/psi is recommended for the weber 48s?

BTW, I still need to look and see what fuel pump I have. (yes I know I am an idiot for not knowing, bought the car the way it is). The fuel pump is very loud when I cycle through the key.

Thanks!

Ryan

under 4psi, 3.2-3.6psi I belive its listed on the yaw site. webers do not like above 4psi. but I am sure someone will disagree with this but I think its been well documented by many. using a return fuel set up will help the pump run quiter and last longer. I would sugest alower psi higher volume pump and larger lines if you need a pump.

Alright, what psi is recommended for the weber 48 IDA? Also, other than racing beat, where are some sites that carry the weber carbs and manifolds for our cars for a good price?

Thanks!

Weber 48-IDA and 51-IDA set P.S.I. @ 4.5
Straight out of RB Sites Recomended Stock to Half Bridge.

Go Mallory 70 or 110 for Silence.
I'm running the Mallory Model 140 but with a Full StreetPort and a Half Bridgie. The only difference in my setup is a RB Holley.
Got rid of my CarterHP4600 after 1 day. To noisey...
But it was a good pump from what I experienced in that short time.
Check Summit Racing for Pricing.
Just make sure whatever Pump you decide on that you also invest in a Good Reg and Gauge or it won't matter what you buy.

RB jettings/psi are just recommended but its not a must. Just like tuning with jets, you have to do the same for fuel pressure. Thats how I do mine.

This is just Recomended Settings!
Every Carb and Engine will act and perform different.
ie Altitude, Perfomance upgrades, Getting Fuel to it's Source.
I know from experience with 1 day driving on the Coast versus being in the Mountains the Next day and returning to Home @ Sea Level.
I'm in Sales here in Oregon and have experienced all the above.
It took me awhile to get everthing sinked in when dealing with Aftermaket Setups. What works for 1 might not work with another.
Basis is the Key to Tunning.
Just my input.
Sorry to ramble on.

If you want to find info about your carb, see if you can locate a part # on it then Google it. Even if you can't find a part #, Google is still your friend.

Not the best way to mount a fuel pump to quiet it down. Your method simply allows the pump to vibrate more which can wear on the bolts, mounting bracket, fuel lines/fittings and the pump itself. A better method would be to soft mount it using longer bolts and the rubber/poly bushings from an old set old sway bar links with lock nuts that are fully torqued.

Since I have been hearing that whirling noise for over 20 years, without it, I start worrying if my pump is working or not.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. LOL, ya I have no idea how the previous owner mounted the fuel pump, but it is pretty loud when I first cycle through the key. I will probably see how the purolator fuel pump works with the weber first, before buying a new one. It has been on the car since I bought it running a holley 600 with no problem from what I can see.
