Cool What turbo should I use and how much$

I have a 13b with a mikuni sidedraft. I may be selling but if I cant get want for her than I may as well do it up. What would be the best turbo set up for my intake arrangment? Would I be better off with a different carb? How much do would it cost? What would the HP gain be?

I don't know much about that carb, but it should work just like a weber once you prep it for boost. You might want a different lower intake manifold, that one looks like it might be in the way of the turbo. If you want around 200-275rwhp then get a TII turbo. It'll cost around $300 used for the turbo, manifold, and wastegate(internal). They work great and will be the cheapest option by far. Even with a different lower intake manifold you'll probably need to make a spacer to put the turbo farther away from the engine. With a good exhaust(2.5" or larger, free flow mufflers) and tires it should run mid 13's easily.

I have the mikuni setup for a 12a and 13b. The 12a is up and running and I've been thinking about doing a turbo bridgeport. How does one boost prep the mikuni or who can do the prepping? I know the float needs to be changed so it doesn't collapse. Does anything else need to be done other that and changing the jetting?

I'm not trying to jack your thread but there doesn't seem to be many mikuni owners on here, so any info is like digging for gold for me.

BTW where did you find your filter setup. I'm running open stacks right now, haven't found anything to fit the mikuni. Do you have a part #?

Thanks, Scott.

the mikuni carb doesn't need any "prepping". the floats are already solid , so they wont colaspe.. you just need to make sure that the hole above the inake on the carb getts boosted also, as that goes to the float bowl.

carl.

p.s. i would send my carb to you robert, but those carb hats. DAMN cost too much to me. sorry.

I have the same exact filter setup. It came from Design Energy. The element is K&N, but it all came from Design Energy.
