What are these SA parts? (pics)
I've been outside for about an hour trying to get this SA to fire up. It ran for about 5 seconds, smoked like crazy, then stalled out, and didn't want to start again.
I'm assuming its just flooding?
Anyways....what are these parts in the pics? Is this supposed to be that way, or could it be a problem?
First is this orange unplugged harness. Where's it supposed to connect to?
Next is this little hole in the top of the distributor cap. Is it a vent, or supposed to have something there?
And yes, I know the engine is filthy, I'm degreasing it now.

The orange connector doesn't actually connect to anything on the '79. I'm not really sure why it's there. As for the dizzy, I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be a cap on that. I have an '81 dizzy now, so it's been a while since I've looked at the points cap.
