What steering wheel is this?

So can anyone tell me what this wheel came off of?

I assume it is a mazda steering wheel but is nothing like any of my other sevens and definitely not the one that came with my GSL-SE from the factory. It is rather thin so I am thinking that it came from a much older car or had some sort of covering, leather vinyl ect, at some time.

What do ya think???

Thats a stock wheel found on early "S" versions of the RX7.

I agree. That steering wheel design was standard on all 'S' model RX-7s. Those wheels are hard to come by out here, so I'd hold onto it.

Too thin to be a '79 "S"

My bet is that it's a wooden one that came in a special option on the GLC's. I have one, so have good reference.

I also had a '79 Rex. Same two spoke design, but the wheel itself was much thicker.
