Question what is that sound?

is it just me... or does the roto-engine sound like a beefy v-8? or is there a hole in my exhaust? What are they supposed to sound like?

a rotory engine has it's own sound,,because of it's many
firings,,it's not a 2 stroke,it's not a 4 stroke,,it should
sound even and balanced, and as the rpm's go up the
sound of the engine just purrrrr,,, i think a turbo'd
rotory sounds more beefy,,,,12a w/ carb has carb noise.
a 13b w/efi just purrrrrs

rotaries

rotaries all sound like a lawnmower on steroids.

If yours sounds like a V8 you either have no mufflers, or a massive hole in the exhaust (I unbolted my exhaust and drove a while once, holy CRAP is that loud.)
