both.
i am going to soon switch over to a series two or three (81-85) strut assembly so that i can use the tociko adjustable struts.
hopefully it will be an easy swap.

rif..you wannabe ****** :] you did your home work..
we.. as in my friends and I.. refer to the 79-80 as 79's
the 81-85 is refered to as GSL's and the 84-85 GSL-SE's are called SE's or 5 letters. I know.. they are not accurate discriptions of the diffrent models but.. hey.. it seems to work to seprate the 3 diffrents significant changes.

true true.. that will work.. but what happens when you have an 83 gs. no lsd, no rear disk breaks. definatly not a gsl....

i get strange looks sometimes when i refer to them by their series.. i was talking to the owner of the local scca seven racing shop (stock port 12a's), and started refering to first and second series, and the parts that i wanted to swap (i.e. taking the strut assemblies and tranny out of a second series). well he was confused as hell.. he kept thinking that i was going to swap parts with a second gen (FC) and thought that i was nuts....

then he told me that absolutly no one refers to rx7's by series, only generations... ha.. shows what he knows.

This one i like, especially if i got it with the 'euro' air dam, low profile pop-up lights, the thin scoop from mariah that goes down into the hood (maybe put in backwards for kicks :P) and the same design on the head light doors i saw some place, add a glass sunroof, shiny wheels, thin z-rated tires, new seats, short shifter..... <dreams>

it'd be best if it ran, i suppose...but that's getting picky oh well...i wouldn't be able to afford shipping and stuff from austrailia to get anything from selectmaz.com.au

tra la la al la........

why would you want the hood scoop backwards.. you know that that would completely kill all funcionality

my car doesn't function at this point in the first place, so i can't say it bothers me. As i said, just for kicks Besides, cash for college eats up the budget for anything extranious...so it's just in my head and shall never, ever be done :P

maybe kinda like this, except with the other body kit.. and i don't think it would be totaly ineffective. Anything that lets some heat out has some benefit....just no forced air. plus, with the low pressure under the car due to the air dam, it might pull some air down through when it's at speed. But who cares

sorry about the bad attempt....no photoshop at college...had to use paint.....please forgive me ;P

The Mariah NACA Duct Hood Scoop insert is the least expensive means of upgrading your RX-7s hood. This hood scoop must be molded into your original hood. Functional, Includes Inner Duct: $109
Sure can Plus it beats $731 as long as you can do body work. Great solution if you're low on funds (or crazy like me )
