What revs do you dump it at?

Is it best to gradually ease on the gas with a carb'd rotor, or can you just dump it when you reach a certain revs, depending on your setup?

I just gradually press the accell down. I find that stomping it right away is not a good idea. heh

Driving normally i find it best to ease out the clutch and ease on the gas, u dont always have to have your car matted.

its for cars with bad syncros or no syncros in the transmission. It getts the engine gears and the transmission gears spinning at the same speed so that you dont grind. If u ever accidentaly grind a gear and lotsa ppl are around, blame it on a syncro. Double clutching give u no gain like F&TF made it seem

Reving the **** out of a rotary, NOT GOOD?!? What are you talking about, these engines LIVE to rev. A good redline run everyday will help clear out the carbon, and will do no major damage. This isnt a ******* honda, wind the thing out!

Yea, redline is at like 8000 max. Not 8500. Even with a bridgeport is your alt, and fan, and water pump and everyhitng rated to handle that, i doubt it. Ull end up throwin a fan through the radiator

If you race and you're in the powerband 80% of the time, yes, 8500 rpm can be deleterious to rotary health if not built for it. But on the street, you'll only hit that for a moment, so with synthetic oil in the pan, it'll never be a problem internally and the belts will stay on externally. The '80 RP streetport could do it all the time, it was the car chassis that always bought it first...
