As for "production" rotaries (aka ones you could have bought someday) votes would be parkway bus, norton bikes, Citroën GS and M35, NSU Wankel Spider, ... Also intresting are several ex-sovjet bikes, that were actually illegal copies. And LADA made a rotary aswell.
A lot of intresting things are here: www.der-wankelmotor.de It's in German, but about evry car/bike/engine can be found.
For the fellow who mentioned "working" ro 80's being rare: those cars were/are actually alot better then their image. All engines from 1970 upwards are pretty good, but many customers destroyed them on purpose because of the warranty (giving them a NEW engine, no questions asked).
I just bought my second Ro80, btw, so at least on my driveway, they aren't all that rare

that was my first introduciton to the rotary, me and a friend pulled the top plate off and couldn't get the seals back in correctly we were both about 11 at the time, and his dad blistered both of our tails for that one. Then I got it again from my dad after he had to help pay to replace it

Yup, four of 'em. They're going to start unteathered testing of the one with the "big" engines (2 rotor as opposed to the earlier 1-rotor) sometime soon. They just have lots of paperwork to do and prep for it.

I think I have it.

At the latest "Barrett Jackson" auction there was a 1937 Ford Eifel with a 12A in it.

It is the Last Ford Eifel known to exist on the planet.

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/event....asp?id=182861

It sold for $47,000..........

I want that motor in my FB

If you want rotary power, say 160,000hp, then the engines do exist but you may have difficulty fitting it into an RX-7. They are turbine designs for ultra smooth marine use.

the OS (sold by graupner overhere) is a classic. very cool, but I haven't yet been able to force myself to buy one...
Since a lot of people mention custom/transplants/prototypes, and not just "production" cars, here are a few others:
Mercedes Benz 450SL WANKEL This was a one-of, by M-B. It was the personal car of Dr Felix Wankel. Or at least one of the personal cars.
And another unique car was a GSL-SE 12A turbo. That's the only 12AT in Left hand drive! It was based on a GSL-SE spec'ed car, with all the goodies, but 12AT insead of 13B. Again, not a conversion, but a factory build car by Mazda as a present for Dr Felix Wankel.

There were some US Left Hand Drive 12aT cars used as pace cars in some race series I can't remember. Factory made. So that wasn't the only LHD 12aT

and the original 110. I owned a 10a RX3 before it became a 13b Bridgey.

10as were rare in the US but common in Japan, Australia and other countries, harder to find now as they were ignored for years.

Would not this subject be more enjoyed in a better place such as Lounge or other Rotary sections?

Did you read the very first post.....Lounge is full of BS and other rotaries is too obscure for most regulars.

I'm surprised the Roadpacer didn't get more response, big luxury barge with a 13b, not much torque to pull that mass with.
